US requires negative tests for international air passengers

Airlines praised the decision, announced by the Centers for Disease Control, to require travelers entering the US on international flights from Jan. 26 onward to present a negative coronavirus test, although they were also hoping the government would drop restrictions on travel from the UK, Brazil and Europe. “US airlines have been strong advocates for a national testing standard set by the federal government,” Airlines for America said, and United Airlines added: “As the first airline to offer COVID customer testing, we know it is key to unlocking international borders and safely reopening global travel.”Full Story:
